Dirty Dingo Billet Aluminum “Double-D” LS Adapter Plates

Dirty Dingo Motorsports “Double-D” adapter plates are designed for installing a 1997–2013 Gen III or Gen IV LS engine into older GM vehicles.

These adapter plates fit:

  • 1958–1972 GM cars
  • 1958–1972 2WD GM trucks
  • 1962–1991 Corvettes

1958–1961 Corvettes require a frame stand when using a factory GM three-bolt motor mount.

Each plate starts as 1/2-inch-thick 6061-T6 aircraft-grade billet aluminum. The plates are CNC-machined on both sides to a finished thickness of 3/8 inch. This process creates a strong, lightweight, and precise bolt-in adapter plate.

These plates make it easier to replace a small-block or big-block Chevy engine with an LS-series engine.

Four Engine Mounting Positions

The Double-D adapter plates offer four engine positions:

  • Factory bellhousing position
  • 11/16 inch forward
  • 1 11/16 inches forward
  • 2 1/4 inches forward

These positions match the most common engine locations used by major header manufacturers. The four mounting options help provide clearance for the firewall, headers, transmission, and other engine-bay parts.

Each kit includes a driver-side plate, passenger-side plate, and all required Grade 8 zinc-coated hardware.
