The Dirty Dingo adjustable LS engine mounts are made for 1973–1987 2WD Chevy and GMC trucks.
They are built from strong, 1/4-inch-thick high-carbon steel and precision-cut with CNC equipment for a secure fit. These mounts make it easier to install a Gen III or Gen IV LS engine into an older GM truck. The slotted design lets you adjust the engine position up to 2 1/2 inches forward or 1/2 inch backward from the factory bellhousing location. Once tightened, the mounts hold the engine firmly in place, even in high-horsepower builds.
Each mount is formed with a CNC press brake and a large-radius die. This helps reduce stress at the bends and improves strength. The mounts work with the factory rubber clamshell-style mounts already installed on the truck’s frame.
These mounts work with many manual and automatic transmissions, including:
Powerglide, TH350, TH400, TH700R4, 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70, and 4L80, 6L80-90, 8L80-90, 10L80-90.
Each kit includes a left and right mount, new cross bolts, and high-quality Grade 8 zinc-coated hardware.
Important Notes:
-
The mounts are raw steel and are not painted.
-
They will not fit DART aftermarket engine blocks.
-
Sold as a pair with one driver-side and one passenger-side mount.
-
The mount marked “D” goes on the driver side.
-
The mount marked “P” goes on the passenger side.
-
The arrows on the mounts must point toward the front of the truck.
-
These mounts clear the factory LS truck low-mount A/C compressor. However, the engine cannot slide backward because the mounts sit against the A/C compressor bracket. This places the engine about 2 1/2 inches forward from the factory bellhousing position.
-
They will not work with Corvette or Camaro/GTO low-mount A/C systems.
-
Using a 1998–2002 Camaro low-mount alternator setup may limit engine adjustment.
-
These mounts clear factory LS truck oil pans, steering parts, and the truck frame. No special oil pan is needed for most installations.
-
For lowered trucks, we recommend using a 1998–2002 Camaro oil pan or a Holley 302-2 oil pan
