Dirty Dingo adjustable engine mounts are made for installing a Gen III or Gen IV LS engine into 1988–1999 2WD OBS Chevy and GMC trucks.

Each mount is CNC laser-cut from 1/4-inch-thick 1050 high-carbon, cold-rolled steel. They are formed with a precision CNC press brake and a large-radius die to help reduce stress at the bends.

The slotted design gives you more control over engine placement. The engine can be moved up to 2 1/2 inches forward or 1/2 inch rearward from the factory bellhousing position. Once properly tightened, the mounts hold the engine securely, even in high-horsepower applications.

These mounts work with the factory rubber clamshell-style mounts on the truck’s frame. They can be used with many manual and automatic transmissions, including:

Powerglide, TH350, TH400, TH700R4, 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, and 4L80E, 6L80-90, 8L8-90, 10L80-90.

Each kit includes a left and right mount, new cross bolts, and high-quality Grade 8 zinc-coated hardware.

Important Information

  • Sold as a pair: driver and passenger side.
  • “D” marks the driver-side mount.
  • “P” marks the passenger-side mount.
  • The arrows must point toward the front of the truck.
  • Mounts are raw steel and are not painted.
  • Will not fit Dart aftermarket engine blocks.
  • Clears factory LS truck oil pans. No special oil pan is needed to clear the factory frame or steering.
  • For lowered trucks, we recommend using a 1998–2002 Camaro oil pan or Holley 302-2 oil pan.

Air-Conditioning and Alternator Fitment

These mounts will clear the factory LS truck low-mount A/C compressor. However, the engine will not be able to slide rearward because the mounts will contact the A/C compressor bracket. This places the engine about 2 1/2 inches forward from the original bellhousing position.

These mounts will not work with Corvette, Camaro, or GTO low-mount A/C systems.

A 1998–2002 Camaro low-mount alternator setup may be used in some applications, but engine adjustment may be limited.
