Dirty Dingo adjustable LS engine mounts are designed for 1973–1987 4x4 Chevy and GMC trucks.
They are made from strong, 1/4-inch-thick high-carbon steel and precision-cut with CNC equipment for a reliable fit. These mounts make it easier to install a Gen III or Gen IV LS engine into an older GM truck. The slotted design allows the engine to move up to 2 1/2 inches forward or 1/2 inch backward from the original bellhousing position.
Once the bolts are properly tightened, the mounts hold the engine firmly in place, even in high-horsepower applications.
Each mount is formed with a precision CNC press brake and a large-radius die. This process helps reduce stress at the bends and improves strength.
The mounts work with the factory rubber clamshell-style mounts on the truck’s frame. They are compatible with many manual and automatic transmissions, including:
Powerglide, TH350, TH400, TH700R4, 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70, and 4L80 6L80-90, 8L80-90, 10L80-90.
Each kit includes a driver-side mount, passenger-side mount, new cross bolts, and high-quality Grade 8 zinc-coated hardware.
Important Fitment Notes
-
The mounts are sold as raw steel and are not painted.
-
They will not fit DART aftermarket engine blocks.
-
The mounts are sold as a left and right pair.
-
The mount marked “D” installs on the driver side.
-
The mount marked “P” installs on the passenger side.
-
The arrows must point toward the front of the truck.
-
These mounts clear the factory LS truck low-mount A/C compressor.
-
When using the LS truck low-mount A/C system, the engine cannot slide backward. The mounts sit against the A/C compressor bracket and position the engine 2 1/2 inches forward from the original bellhousing location.
-
These mounts will not work with Corvette or Camaro/GTO low-mount A/C systems.
-
Using a 1998–2002 Camaro low-mount alternator setup may limit engine adjustment.
-
A small notch must be cut into the driver side of the crossmember for proper clearance.

ALUMINUM: Most of the aluminum alloys used today contain some level of lead, usually less than .1%. Lead is known to the state of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Most aluminum alloys are physiologically inert in their solid form, and the lead is contained within, however user-generated dust and/or fumes may pose a hazard if inhaled or ingested. Heating beyond a certain temperature may also provide avenues for exposure.
