This is a genuine OE Sanden SD7H15 4711 508 A/C compressor, made in the USA. It has a satin finish and an 8-groove serpentine clutch. This compressor has a 154cc, or 9.36 CID, output and works well with many Hot Rod and Street Rod applications.
The Sanden 508 is built with 7 internal pistons and 6 bolts on the compressor head. This is the larger SD7 series compressor, not the smaller SD5 series with 5 pistons and 5 head bolts. The smaller SD5 compressors may create a loud harmonic noise when used on some LS and LT engine applications.
This compressor is compatible with both R-12 and R-134a refrigerant.

Warranty
This compressor includes a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
If a warranty claim is needed, the compressor must be returned to the manufacturer for testing. This process may take several weeks. The manufacturer will inspect the compressor to make sure it was installed and oiled correctly. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
When an A/C compressor fails, metal or other debris can spread through the A/C system. Before installing a replacement compressor, the system must be cleaned properly.
For proper installation:
-
Flush the complete A/C system.
-
Replace the drier or accumulator.
-
Replace the orifice tube or expansion valve.
-
Replace any other damaged or contaminated parts.
-
Add the correct type and amount of compressor oil.
-
Install a condenser when required for the application.
Failure to properly clean and service the A/C system can damage the new compressor and may void the warranty.
Proof of proper installation, including replacement of the drier and metering device, may be required for warranty coverage.
