DD-LS-AC-SR - Street Rod AC for Truck Accessories

All threaded holes in the block and cylinder head should cleaned and tapped with a thread chaser. All bolts being installed should be lubed with a light oil or anti-seize on the bolt threads before assembly. Leave all bolts slightly loose until the end.

If you are running a VVT water pump it will need to be removed to install this bracket. Install the rear A/C bracket to the front passenger cylinder head using 2 40MM flat head bolts and two "A" spacer between the cylinder head and the bracket. 

 

Install the front A/C bracket to the rear bracket using two 120MM bolts and the two of the "B" spacers in between. Both of these bolts will thread into the rear bracket. Looking at the face of the front bracket, the bottom left countersunk hole takes the flathead bolt and the top left hole uses the socket head allen bolt. The top right hole takes the longest of the three bolts, 150MM socket head, as it goes through the front and rear bracket with the remaining "C" spacer and threads directly into the head using last "A" spacer between the rear bracket and the cylinder head. Torque all 10MM bolts to 28 Ft. Lbs.


 

 

Install the Sanden SD7B10 compressor between the front and rear brackets. The front compressor ears will use the 2 25MM X 8MM socket head bolts with 2 stainless washers under the heads and thread directly into the compressor ears. The rear will use the 2 50MM X 8MM bolts and nuts with stainless washers under the head and nut. Tighten the front ear bolts first. The sleeve on the rear ears will self align as you are tightening the bolts. Torque front bolts first, then rear to 16 Ft. Lbs.

 

 

Install the tensioner to the front bracket using the 55MM socket head bolt and the grade 8 washer and torque to 28 Ft Lbs.

* When using large case Truck alternator add 3/4" to belt length.

* When using small diameter power steering pulley subtract 2" from belt length.
