This kit is designed to be used with our water pump adapters and a 2008 Gen IV Corvette water pump. Water pump adapters are HERE. Water pump adapter install is HERE.

All threaded holes in the block and cylinder head should cleaned and tapped with a thread chaser. All bolts being installed should be lubed with a light oil or anti-seize on the bolt threads before assembly.

Read all of the instructions before you start the assembly. Lube all bolt threads before installing. Torque the 10MM bolts to 28 FT LBS and the 8MM bolts to 18 FT LBS.

The rear AC bracket must be installed before the water pump with our water pump adapters. Once the water pump is in place there is not enough room to tighten the bolts down on the rear bracket to the cylinder head.

Bolt the rear bracket to the passenger cylinder head by putting the "A" spacers between the bracket and the head. You will use 2 10MMX60 flat head bolts, 1 10MMX60 socket head bolt with stainless washer, and 1 8MMX60 socket head bolt with stainless washer. The bottom "A-1" is a smaller diameter.

Install The front bracket to the rear bracket using the four "B" spacers between the front and rear brackets and four 120x10mm flat head bolts.

Make sure the sliding sleeves on the rear compressor mounting ears are compressed enough to fit between the front and rear brackets. Do not hit these with a hammer trying to compress the sleeves. This will damage or break the ear off the compressor. Use a c-clamp and a socket or something similar. Install the mini SD7B10 compressor. The front 8x25mm socket head bolts with stainless washers thread into the compressor mounting ear. Install the rear 8x50mm compressor bolts with stainless washers on both sides and lock nuts. Tighten the front bolts first. As you tighten the rear bolts it will pull the sleeves on the compressor ears into place as you torque the bolts.

Install tensioner to the front bracket. There is an aluminum spacer that mounts between the tensioner and the front plate.

Small case alternators are 135 amp and lower. Large Case alternators are 140 amp and higher.
