If your vehicle did not start out as a Chevy V8, you will need to acquire Chevy V8 frame perches for a direct bolt in swap. Otherwise check out the Clamshell Mount method

1958-1964 Chevrolet SBC's used the short and wide motor mount.

OEM rubber motor mounts last much longer than aftermarkert rubber. Poly mounts essentially last a lifetime and don't need to be replaced.

The Holley 302-2 is a modified F-Body pan. The 302-3 is basically the second revision. The 302-3 has turbo drain ports on either side of the pan, can do a larger stroke, and has better clearance from the engine crossmember. Out of these three pans, the 302-3 is superior in every way. You will have to cut the windage tray a little and you still have to buy the dipstick/tube and the gasket however. We sell the F-Body pan as a complete kit, all you need is your choice of oil and oil filter.

The factory engine crossmember may require a small notch on either side to flatten the bottom section out. Some have done a spacer under the V8 Frame Perch itself to raise the engine up to clear the engine crossmember however that will directly affect your driveline angle. In order to do the spacer and still be able to bolt the engine back down with the correct geometry, it is easiest to remove the Frame Perches and bolt everything to the engine first and lower it in to position.
