If your vehicle did not start out as a Chevy V8, you will need to acquire Chevy V8 frame perches for a direct bolt in swap. However, we do not have a link for a reproduction frame perch. If you come across reproduction frame perches, let us know.

1970-1972 Impala's used Short and Wide Early Style motor mounts. 1973 is when GM changed to Clamshells.
Choosing the Correct Conversion Mounts
*Goes over the differences of the Early Style (1955-72) and the Clamshell Style (1973-99)
1970-72 Impala with factory V8 Frame perches:
Short And Wide
OEM Part Numbers(Rubber): 3990914, 3960768, 6258154
Aftermarket Part Numbers(Rubber): 2142, 2285, 2267
Energy Suspension (Poly): 3.1114 Zinc, 3.1115 Chrome (G-Black, R-Red)
OEM rubber motor mounts last much longer than aftermarkert rubber. Poly mounts essentially last a lifetime and don't need to be replaced.
LS GEN III/IV Conversion Mount Options:
(Starting out in raw non painted steel so make sure you paint them before the final install otherwise they will rust. They are also offered in black textured powdercoat for a small additional charge)

LT GEN V Conversion Mount Options:

1973-1990 used the Clamshell Mounts.

If you you have the full Clamshell Style, with the Clamshell Mount and the Clamshell for this application, then you can use any of the conversion mounts listed above. The factory Clamshell is vehicle specific and side specific. They are not directly interchangeable with another vehicle. These are no longer available from the dealership. If you do not have the Clamshell, you can still use our EZ Mounts. They bolt directly to the engine and drop right over the factory clamshell mount. EZ Mounts do NOT require the factory Clamshell! You will often hear them referred to as the Dingo Sliders.
