The Dirty Dingo adjustable transmission crossmember is designed for 2WD 1988–1998 Chevrolet and GMC OBS GMT400 trucks, Blazers, and Suburbans.

Some GMT400 models were produced after 1998. This crossmember may also fit certain 2500 and SUV models built through 2000, along with some 3500 models built through 2002.

In most applications, the crossmember bolts into the factory transmission mounting holes. No new holes are needed. When installing it on a C3500 frame, the center tab can be flipped over to fit the taller one-ton frame.

The adjustable design works with many popular transmissions, including:

• Powerglide, TH350, TH400, 700R4, 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L80E, 6L80E, 6L90E, 8L80E, 8L90E, 10L80E, 10L90E.

The crossmember works with lifted or lowered trucks. It keeps the factory transmission angle to help maintain proper driveshaft alignment.

It is made from strong 1 3/4-inch DOM seamless tubing with 1/4-inch steel mounting plates. The design provides clearance for long-tube headers and exhaust systems up to 4 inches in diameter.

The crossmember mounts above the frame rails, allowing clearance on trucks that are lowered enough to lay the frame on the ground. Each crossmember is welded and cooled in a custom fixture for accurate fitment.

Grade 8 bolts, washers, and locking nuts are included.

Installation Notes

• The part marked “D” installs on the driver side.
• The part marked “P” installs on the passenger side.
• The arrows point toward the front of the vehicle.
• The largest bolts install at the frame.
• The medium bolts install through the outer CNC-formed tabs.
• The smallest bolts install through the adjustable center transmission perch.
• The transmission perch is designed to face forward, but it may be installed facing rearward in some applications.

• Crossmember is sold as plain, unfinished steel.
• Black textured powder coating may be available for an extra charge.
• The transmission mount shown in the photos is sold separately.
• Works with Anchor 2268 or 2360 transmission mounts.
• Works with Energy Suspension 3.1108 transmission mounts.
• Newer 4L80E transmissions may require GM mount 23134733.
• 6L80E and 6L90E transmissions require Anchor 2392 or Energy Suspension 3.1158 mounts.
• Transmissions using the wider Anchor 2638 mount, such as the NV4500, require an adapter plate to use an older-style Anchor 2268 or 2811 mount.
