This billet aluminum alternator bracket is designed for LS engines using 1998-2002 Camaro, Firebird, and GTO accessory spacing. It fits both large and small case Vortec truck alternators, as well as 1998-2002 Camaro-style alternators.
The bracket is CNC machined from 1/2-inch thick 6061-T6 aircraft-grade billet aluminum and finished to a 3/8-inch thickness. It is built for strength, proper fitment, and a clean appearance.
This bracket mounts the alternator close to the factory throttle body. It will not clear electronic throttle bodies that extend toward the driver’s side.
This setup is designed for alternator-only applications and does not support a power steering pump. Stock low-profile valve covers must be used. The front edge of the factory coil bracket will also need to be trimmed to provide clearance behind the alternator.
The bracket works with Camaro, Firebird, and GTO accessory-spacing water pumps.
The complete kit includes CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum spacers, Grade 8 zinc-coated Allen bolts, stainless steel washers, and an idler pulley kit.
