The Dirty Dingo Tri-Five Conversion Mount Kit lets you install a Small Block Chevy (SBC) or Big Block Chevy (BBC) engine into a 1955, 1956, or 1957 Chevy Bel Air, 150, 210, Nomad, or Wagon by converting the factory front engine mounts to stronger side engine mounts. These mounts also allow you to install a Gen III or Gen IV LS engine when used with Dirty Dingo LS Conversion Motor Mounts. Designed to fit both seamed and seamless California frames, these mounts provide a much stronger mounting system than the original front engine mounts.
This is a bolt-in kit, but installation requires removing the factory rivets and drilling four new holes in the front crossmember.
When used with a Small Block Chevy engine, the mounts move the engine forward 3/4 inch to provide additional clearance for an HEI distributor.
The brackets are laser cut from 3/16-inch steel and CNC formed for a precise fit. The kit includes the correct 3-bolt rubber engine mounts and all required Grade 8 hardware for installation.
